Reduction of conference, seminars and formation registration fees offered by the IPM International network
Reduction in housing accommodations when travelling for conferences and seminars offered by IPM International network.
Ordinary Members
Medical doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, traditional health practitioners, social workers, jurists, mediators, cult or religious ministers,, historians, writers, sociologist, anthropologist, political scientists, politicians, economists, diplomats, filmmakers or film directors, journalists and artists can be admitted as “ordinary members”.
Each member must have a title or diploma from a recognized national or international institution.
Each member must have professional experience of at least a year in the following domains: medical, paramedical, juridical, sociology, communication, entertainment or sports.
Each member must belong to a professional association with their specialization and provide a letter of recommendation describing their work ethics.
Written admissions to IPM must be addressed to the Administrative Director, who reviews and submits application to the admission commission of new members. The commission meets three to four times a year.
Active Members
To become an active member, you must be an ordinary member for at least one to two years or a member of a specialized association that deals with populations in distress like health professionals, social workers, mediators, lawyers, judges, chaplains, pastors, priests, rabbis, imams, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, army officers, etc.
Active members of the office are experimented professionals in the areas of mental health. They are psychiatrist, general medical doctors, neurologist, psychologist, psychotherapists, nurses or social workers.
Other professionals with special formations in the field of victims of violence such as judges, lawyers in the defence of victims of violence, jurists working with judicial counsellors, mediators, hospital and/or prison chaplains, can also be actives members of the office.
Active members must have continued formation (two to three times per year), the publications, and programmes of research on the field (one to two times per year) or volunteer work in a community for victims of violence.
Active members can train in their domain of expertise if they wish.
Extraordinary members
Medical students such as those in nursing, social worker, police officers in formation, law students, and interns in psychology, mediation and diplomacy or in law can be admitted as extraordinary members.
They must address the administrative director (AD) with the certificates of their recognized educational institutions in their country of origin, a written letter of recommendation and a letter of motivation.
They will benefit from reduced fees for their registration and formation in postgraduate or continuous studies in Psychotraumatology and Mediation.
They cannot vote and are not eligible for posts in the IPM organism.
Support members (Sympathisers)
To become a support member, you must address the demand of admission and a letter of motivation to the administrative director, and must pay required fees.
Extraordinary members
